- Give every category a designated home (food, diapers, trash bags, paper goods). When each item has a place, you can see at a glance what needs replenishing.
2) Shop with intention
- Before ordering or heading to the store, take two minutes to check those homes.
- That quick pause respects your space, your budget, and what you bring in.
3) Create a routine
- Choose one day a week for all household shopping/ordering.
- Unless it’s truly urgent (think milk or diapers), wait for that day. This alone cuts most last-minute orders and decision fatigue.
4) Stay conscious of space
- Sales are tempting, but saving $20 doesn’t help if you overload your home and buy duplicates.
- Buy for the space you have, not the sale you see.
